Mrs. Mendez joined the Valley team for the 2024-2025 school year. She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a BA in Education. She majored in Middle Level Education (Science, Math, & Social Studies) and minored in Mental Health. She enjoys teaching about our solar system. She states, "It is so vast and shows how big, powerful, and amazingly detailed our God is!"

When asked why she choose to work at Valley Mrs. Mendez said, "I love being able to bring Christ into our workplace. Christians are called to daily community with other Christians, and getting to share the love of Christ with my coworkers and students is an answered prayer and beautiful picture of community."

Mrs. Mendez and her husband, Ryan, were married July 27th, 2024 and they attend Sent Church. She enjoys drinking coffee and trying local coffee shops. She also enjoys being in nature and enjoying God's creation including reading outside or kayaking down rivers.
