2025 Admissions
The decision of where your child attends school is a big one.
Our prayer? That the Lord will lead you to the right place where your child can excel.

Our administration and teachers are excited about the possibility of your family joining the Valley family. At Valley, we seek to be More Than a School as we come alongside parents to Prepare, Train, and Teach this generation for Jesus Christ all while academically preparing our students for their place in God’s Kingdom.
We invite you to come and explore our school by scheduling a Parent Visit and Tour. During this roughly 60-minute meeting, you’ll speak one-on-one with either Mr. Brian L’Heureux, our Kindergarten – 8th grade principal, or Mr. Lucas Tanney, our High School Lead Teacher. We’ll even pop in to meet our Executive Director, Mr. Henry Pahlkotter. You can expect these educational leaders, with over 85 years of experience, to ask questions and listen carefully to understand the unique ways God has gifted your child.
Your scheduled time at Valley will conclude with a personalized tour of our building with our Director of Admissions, Mrs. April Schriever. She will make sure you leave with a clear understanding of the admissions process as well as the timeline to apply for a State of Iowa Educational Savings Account.

What Families & Graduates Are Saying
"I absolutely appreciate the morals and values that they teach there. He has learned how to resolve conflict, problem-solving, healthy relationships, and most important of all, the importance of Jesus Christ in his life."
Current Parent
"Valley Lutheran is more like a family than a school. Everyone is so close and friendly to each other. At Valley, I feel safe to talk about my faith and share it with others."
Graduate
"What appealed to us about Valley was their philosophy of coming alongside of us as parents, the primary educators of our child, to help teach him. Additionally, their academic excellence and the opportunities afforded at a K-12 school were other draws."
Current Parent
"Valley Lutheran has brought me forward in my education. With smaller classroom sizes and more one-on-one action with the teachers, it makes it feel like a family."
Graduate
"The enriching environment and dedication of the staff have made my child’s experience nothing but a success. I cannot recommend this school enough!"
Current Parent
"Valley did more than just prepare me academically; it equipped me with the skills and confidence to navigate the real world. I also feel incredibly fortunate to have attended a school where I could openly learn about God and express my faith without hesitation."

An Investment in Your Child's future
During your Parent Visit and Tour, our Director of Admissions will explain how the following programs help make a private Christian education at Valley within your family’s financial reach.
The dollars allocated to your child through the State of Iowa’s Students First ESA bill covers ALL incoming kindergarteners, ALL public school transfers, and ALL fully homeschooled students. During the 2024-2025 school year, ESAs covered 86% of tuition.
The Iowa Lutheran School Tuition Organization exists to assist families who are Iowa residents who desire a K-12 Lutheran education in Iowa for their children. Awards are based on income guidelines and may help reduce the gap between full tuition and ESAs.
In the State of Iowa, the funds in a student’s 529 college savings plan may be used for tuition at Kindergarten – 12th grade private school tuition.
We firmly believe that when parents and staff work together, it creates a stronger environment in which our students will grow in God’s truth and grace. To that end, we’ve created the Crusader Family Service Grant where participating families can receive $100 off per child by giving of their time and talents.
