Service: Reaching Out
At Valley Lutheran School, we are compelled to partner with parents, area churches, and local ministries to serve our community. A few of the many ways we do this include:
- Our middle school and high school students will spend almost 2,500 hours this year in service throughout the Cedar Valley representing Valley through our Christian Service program.
- In the fall, our Student Council sponsors a five-week drive to benefit the Cedar Valley Food Bank.
- Mission projects throughout the year cultivate in our students a heart for the less fortunate.
- Everyone has a chance on our annual Day of Service to leave the four walls of our school to serve as a class at various places throughout our communities.
From our youngest students to the oldest, we strive to instill a heart to serve within our students demonstrating Jesus’ commandment to love our neighbors.
